Helping Children in Southeast Asia

 

STEP-Asie is a French association dedicated to providing direct and meaningful support to children in Southeast Asia. Our primary mission is to ensure that orphans and disadvantaged children have access to education, basic necessities, and opportunities for a better future. With a focus on transparency and efficiency, every project we support directly benefits the children.

How We Work

Identifying Needs

Our volunteers, who are on the ground across Southeast Asia, work closely with local communities, orphanages, and schools to identify the real needs of children. Their direct presence allows us to tailor our efforts to what truly matters, rather than simply providing what we think might be useful.

Request Submission

Once the needs are identified, our volunteers submit project proposals to the central office in Saint-Denis-d’Oléron, France. Each proposal includes a detailed budget and outlines the impact on the local community and children.

Approval and Allocation

The Board and Management at our headquarters carefully review each proposal to ensure that the funds are used in the most effective way possible. Upon validation, we allocate 100% of the funds to the approved projects.

Local Implementation

Our volunteers on-site carry out the purchases and deliveries of materials and goods locally, ensuring that the donations reach the children directly and transparently. All items are sourced from local suppliers to support the community’s economy and reduce our environmental impact.

Headquarters in France

From our main office in Saint-Denis-d’Oléron, the administrative team coordinates all project approvals, fundraising, and promotion of the association. They maintain strong oversight and support for all volunteers, ensuring that every donation is tracked and accounted for.

Local Volunteers

Our teams of dedicated volunteers are present in Thailand and Vietnam. They act as the eyes and ears of the organization, providing real-time updates, monitoring the progress of ongoing projects, and ensuring that every initiative aligns with our core values.
